imagine… the greatest skater in history… the biggest skate ramp in europe…an exceptional venue in paris… live painting…international concert…

TONY HAWK, the international skateboard star, will be in Paris on Saturday November 21st for a unique show on the biggest ramp in Europe.

An unrivalled competitor and emblematic figure of the X Games, hero of the world’s top-selling video game of the last decade, entrepreneur, radio and TV presenter, advertising icon...in the space of twenty years, Tony Hawk isn’t just a star of the skateboarding world…he’s a star .

To welcome this legend, Quiksilver has chosen a venue that is as extraordinary as it is monumental, right in the heart of Paris: the Grand Palais.

For two days on November 20th and 21st, this colossal construction of glass and steel, originally built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900, will be dedicated to skateboarding, the urban art and music. Quiksilver is set to create a stir in Paris this fall with an exceptional event blending skateboarding, music and art.

An immense street course, filling the awe-inspiring proportions of the nave of the Grand Palais, will play host to pro-skaterboarders for a street contest invitational competition, demos and introductory sessions with the elite from Quiksilver Team.

Meanwhile, the guest of honour at the Tony Hawk Show will be the celebrated and prolific Parisian graffiti artist: André

A pioneer of French graffiti in the early eighties, André was the first graffiti artist in the world to create a motif character tag. His alter ego “MR A” has now become highly recognizable all over the world. He first came to fame with the series “Love Graffiti”, when he painted lovers names all over the streets of Paris, a self described “beautiful crime”.

André is not only an established name in urban art but he is now also an important figure on the International fashion and night life scene. He owns some of the most exclusive and fashionable establishments in the world, most notably the Beatrice Inn in New York, Le Baron in Paris and Tokyo…

The Tony Hawk Show - and Friends - with Andy MacDonald, Sandro Dias and Sergie Ventura among others, will take place on the evening of Saturday November 21st, on a king size vert ramp set up beneath the imposing glass ceiling of the Grand Palais.

Some 5 500 lucky spectators and the who’s who of boardsports, including Kelly Slater, Robby Naish, Tom Carroll, Mark Richards, Mathieu Crépel, Jérémy Florès, Christian Hosoi, Travis Rice, Lisa Andersen, Samantha Davies, Dane Reynolds, Antoine Albeau, Candide Thovex, Markku Koski. … will be there for what promises to be one of Tony Hawk’s finest ever shows.

To mark this unprecedented meeting of sporting and architectural monuments, a concert by an internationally-acclaimed band will take place on Saturday November 21st.
