A lot of snow and motivation were the ideal basis for great fun and and huge progress at the third and last stop of the “Girls rock the park” camps in Innsbruck, Nordpark.
The last stop completed the camps with a total of 25 girls from Switzerland, Germany and Austria. On the last Friday of the tour the highly motivated girls drove to the skyline park where they found the park with no pipe but specially shaped boxes and kickers despite heavy snowfall in the previous days.
Due to the professional and devoted coaching of the pros Aline Bick, Lena Waizenegger and Freeski girl Eva Patscheider the girls were able to progress a whole lot within 1 ½ days making slope tricks, jumps and slides over curved and kinked boxes. The newly learned and improved tricks could be later watched with video analysis in the “Blueroom”. This surely caused some surprised faces and a few laughing fits but just increased the motivation for the next day. However, since the nights in the “Moustache” and “Jimmys” died out, the girls got bruises or soreness and heavy snowfall and bad sight was forecasted only a few girls showed up on the coaching-free day. Despite hard conditions the girls showed the other riders that girls can turn up the heat too!
Special thanks goes to Roxy-Hardware, Subindustries, CheekyMonkey, Böerse, Wolke7 and Nordpark with its shape-crew, coaches and participants.
Thanks to the success of the camp the tour will most likely be back next year. So girls, rock on and see you next year!
