Can you believe that the very first snowboard was called a snurfer? How cool is that? Imagine if the name had stuck, we'd all be saying, "Let's go snurfing!". Hilarious! People argue about the origin of snowboarding, probably because everybody wants some credit for great things. Snowboarding is a young sport, and was first seen in 1965. It certainly deserves a big story here, but perhaps "snurfing" says it all? Simply put, someone wanted to surf on snow.
